Long before I posted in some pages and I wanted to write about the conversation between lao Tzu and Confucius. Here it is:

Confucius was the wisest man in China. he was the advisor to the King, Ministers, Teachers,
Doctors and everybody. As he grew old, he felt something missing. he was highly learned, wise and everything, but some spark was missing.

It so happened that someone told him about the old guy, lao Tzu, who from all angles appeared very ordinary yet appeared to have something in him that most did not have.

So, Confucius went to Lao Tzu and asked him, "Sir, can you tell us how to establish moral values in the society? Can you tell you to develop character in the people?".

Hearing this, lao Tzu laughed for a long time. Then he said, "Only an immoral person goes looking for moral values. Only a characterless person will search for the ways of developing the character. One having morals in him does not go looking for it outside. One having character in him does not go around trying to develop it."

He added, "It is enough to be natural with what one has."

I can say that was interesting to say the least. I'm not fully learned on either of these two. So, I found it intriguing. I do appreciate your work and the many different meanings of life, as explained in the hubs you link to, but too many people are over-complicating the entire meaning. It is in each of us to find meaning for our own lives. We can do that by establishing a purpose, one primary purpose we can build off of and bring/develop meaning for our own existence. Again, much appreciated and thank you. :)

Having studied the writings of both, I thoroughly enjoyed this hub. If we are learned, and we look inside, we find all we need.

Namaste.
