63T.M.Soundararajan - TMS as he is called profoundly in tamil music industry has sung thousands of rocking film songs for MGR, Sivaji and all other actors of old time. He is also known as "Simma Kuraloan" and most famous for his own Murugan songs.
Initially for Sivaji sir C.S.Jayaraman used to sing,ex:Kaaviyama nenjil Oviyama song.But for one movie M.S.V has asked T.M.S to sing for Sivaji,but Sivaji didnt accept this.The T.M.S said that he would sing the songs and the Sivaji can accept them only if he is satisfied,if not he can continue with C.S.Jayaraman. But after hearing,Sivaji said T.M.S is the permanent singer for him.
He has also sang so many devotional songs on lord Muruga.Ex:Karpanai endralum karchilai endralum kandhane unnai maraven.This song only brought Kavignar Vaali to Tamil Cinema.Initially Vaali sir was an artiste (drawing artiste),he use to draw pictures and will write some quotes below that picture.Once he sent that to T.M.S by writing that Karpanai endralum..T.M.S only encouraged Vaali to come to chennai and said that he has a bright future in Tamil Cinema.
He also has sung many songs for T.Rajendar's music.Ex:En Kathai mudiyum neramithu, Naanoru Raasi illa Raja,Noolum illai vaalum illai,Amaithikku Peyar Thaan Santhi etc.He also has sung some songs for Rajni(ex:Amma nee sumantha pillai from Annai Ore Aalayam).
Recently he was felicitated in Madurai by Mr.Azhagiri and Co.Last year when he was singing in stage he couldnt make up his voice for 3 songs,but he made it on the 4th song,such a confident man.

I am the die hard fan of 'Eazhisai Mannar' TMS. I am also having serveral songs of him. But i didn't have the song 'naan petha magane nadaraja' in film 'aththiaya maamiya'. I have googled much but in vain. pls provide if anyone. thanks in adv.

In my view he is an unmatched singer in Tamil language. His range, pitch, bhava and rasas are rarely noticed in other singers. Of late people have recognised his unparalled talent and style of singing. He is a legend by himself.Hope Indian government shall soon recognise this and bestow him with a Honour that he deserves long long ago. better late than never. Hope TMS fans will agree. Thanks.
